Mrs. Walker is the Choral teacher at CCHS. She received the honor of CCHS Teacher of the Year for 2018-2019 school year. She teaches ninth through twelfth grade students about the joy of singing music each day. She serves as the CCPS Fine Arts Coordinator, CCHS Fine Arts Instructional Team Leader and the Musical Director for the annual CCHS musical.  Mrs. Walker  has served as an adjudicator for various VMEA events, guest conductor for choral events in Louisa County and Chesterfield County. She has served as VMEA District 13 choral rep, assisted in developing VDOE choral standards, VDOE choral curriculum and VDOE choral curriculum. She is currently vice president of the Windmore Foundation for the Arts. During summers, she has worked as the musical director for the Summer Stages musicals. Mrs. Walker has been teaching within CCPS since 2002 and taught elementary music for RCPS for three years before moving to Culpeper.

Prior to her teaching career, Mrs. Walker worked as a Music Therapist for Catawba State Hospital and Adult Care Center of the Roanoke Valley. She attended Shenandoah University where she studied Choral Music and Music Therapy.
